Blake Griffin Joins Jordan Brand

It’s Official: Blake Griffin Joins Jordan Brand

After rumors earlier in the week that Clippers power forward Blake Griffin would join Jordan Brand, it’s been announced that Griffin is now officially the newest Jordan Brand athlete. Griffin joins fellow superstar Russell Westbrook and rookies Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Kendall Marshall, Jared Sullinger and Jeff Taylor as the newest class of athletes for the Jumpman brand. Griffin started the current season wearing a pair of Jordan Super Flys and will continue to do so throughout the season. The power forward’s explosive and entertaining style of play should prove to be a perfect addition for Jordan Brand.

Marvel and the Brooklyn Nets Unveil First Super Hero in NBA History

Marvel and the Brooklyn Nets Unveil First Super Hero in NBA History

Despite the often larger-than-life personalities and freakish natural abilities of its athletes, the NBA has never had an official super hero — that is, until BrooklyKnight. According to both Marvel Entertainment and theBrooklyn Nets, the new mascot is the “protector of Brooklyn’s hometown team, defender of New York’s largest and most courageous borough, and ruler of Barclays Center.” The superhero made his debut at the Nets’ first game in their new arena and featured in BrooklyKnight #1, a 32-page comic book — written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Mike Deodato — that was handed to all of the game’s attendees. Fans present at the November 11 home tilt against the Orlando Magic — sans Dwight “Superman” Howard — can also look forward to a limited edition BrooklyKnight trading card courtesy of Marvel Custom Solutions and the Brooklyn Nets.
