As rumors abound surrounding the release of Apple‘s potentially wearable technologies, all signs are now hinting at the possible release of the Apple iWatch sometime later this year. Of course, with the product’s release unconfirmed by Apple, the rumor still remains speculative at best. The iWatch is thought to combine the functionality of a phone with GPS and health monitoring sensors. The news source also hints at Jony Ive’s (Apple’s Chief Product Designer) long-standing interest in watches, while the company’s venture into wearable fitness tracking with Nike+ and the FuelBand may have been a platform for the iWatch. While mum is still the word on Apple’s end, another wearable computer from Google may serve as the impetus for speeding up the launch date.
